Finding the right therapist for ourselves or family members can seem a daunting task. Just know that the most important step is the one that you are taking right now – seeking help.
I provide evaluation and treatment for adults, children and adolescents. I maintain a strong focus on forms of therapy that research has demonstrated to be very effective.
I have been practicing with adults and children in Gainesville since 1994. My years as a faculty member at UF and in teaching young clinicians and residents at Shands Hospital has helped me to specialize in state-of-the-art treatments that have been proven effective through decades of research. I am Director of the Florida Consortium for Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health and I continue to provide clinical training to PhD students and interns through my faculty appointment at UF.
For Children and Teens
I also specialize in several treatments for children including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for those who are oppositional or have ADHD and Functional Family Therapy for pre-teens and teens with school performance or behavioral issues at home. I also conduct weekly consultations in local schools to keep abreast of students’ learning and conduct issues.
